At the onset of a potential relationship, IPC will work with financial advisors to gather appropriate information on potential clients to develop a customized investment solution.
IPC will work with advisors and their clients to formulate personally defined investment goals (i.e. a specific target return, a target portfolio value, etc.).
With those personally defined investment goals, IPC will help demonstrate the suitable amount of volatility (risk) necessary to achieve those goals.
IPC will analyze clients current investments (if available) to identify potential obstacles toward achieving those goals.
Working with an advisor and their client, IPC will recommend appropriate allocations between equity, fixed income, and cash as well as appropriate large cap and fixed income managers for advisors and clients to interview
To further diversify equity assets, IPC utilizes diversifying strategies that complement the specific recommended large cap managers.
IPC will proactively report, monitor and assess account performance independent of the selected money managers. Regular reviews are scheduled with advisors, their clients and selected money managers to determine if goals and objectives are being met.
After the Crash of 1929, most investors lost faith in the financial system. Investment trusts, which lacked formal regulation and transparency, were now reviled by a scorned society of investors. It is not difficult to find parallels between the investment trusts of the 1920’s and the hedge fund industry today.
